SCOPH

The Macedonian Medical Students Association (MMSA) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization run by medical students in North Macedonia. MMSA is affiliated with the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) and is recognized as the official representative of medical students in North Macedonia. MMSA aims to promote and protect the interests and well-being of medical students, as well as to contribute to the improvement of healthcare and public health in the country.

MMSA organizes various activities and projects related to medical education, public health, research, and advocacy. These can include organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences on medical topics, engaging in community health campaigns, conducting research projects, and advocating for issues related to medical education, healthcare policy, and public health. MMSA also provides opportunities for personal and professional development, leadership training, and networking for its members.

MMSA collaborates with other national and international organizations, including universities, healthcare institutions, government bodies, and NGOs, to achieve its goals. Through its initiatives, MMSA strives to foster the growth and development of medical students, contribute to the advancement of healthcare in North Macedonia, and promote the well-being of the local community.

SCOPH, which stands for Standing Committee on Public Health, is a dynamic and dedicated arm of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA). Comprising passionate medical students from around the world, SCOPH is committed to improving global health by promoting public health awareness, education, and action.

With a focus on both local and global health issues, SCOPH engages in a wide range of activities, including health promotion campaigns, community outreach programs, and advocacy efforts. From organizing health screenings and vaccination campaigns to raising awareness about important public health issues such as mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and non-communicable diseases, SCOPH is at the forefront of empowering communities and advocating for health equity.

SCOPH also collaborates with various stakeholders, including local health organizations, NGOs, and governments, to develop and implement evidence-based interventions that address health disparities and promote health equity. Through research, capacity-building workshops, and policy advocacy, SCOPH aims to create sustainable solutions to public health challenges and drive positive change in communities worldwide.
